Cutting Cylinders

Locke Turf have been manufacturing cylinders and bottom blades for over a decade.

Conventional Reels

Locke Turf’s unique cylinder manufacturing process enables them to produce precision and truly superior strength cylinders that test at tensile strengths exceeding 120 tons PSI. Commercial series conventional reels are available in 6,7,8 or 10 blade options.

The ‘Vee’ Reel

The optional patented ‘V’ cylinder eliminates daily cylinder and bottom blade adjusting, stays sharp with less grinding. This self adjusting reel produces the quality of cut aver ANY cylinder unit. The need for back lapping if virtually eliminated. Available in 8 or 10 V blade units.

Bottom Blades

Locke bottom blades are an example of new and innovative ideas. Locke have tested hundreds of steel samples from around the world while searching for the best material. The result is a blade which has set the standard in the industry.

Thinning and De-thatching Blades

Cutting units are interchangeable in minutes to perform verti-cutting operations. A variety of blade spacings offers desired verti-cut, thinning or heavy grooming in all varieties of Turf. These can be supplied fitted with Locke’s verti-cut blade or carbide tipped Dyna blades.

Solid or Grooved Front Rollers

Cutting units can be set up to floating on a rear of cut roller or fully floating on front and rear of cut rollers. Solid or Grooved front rollers are available.

Grass Catcher

The grass catcher is strong but light weight. It has a solid base and nylon screen sides for through air flow and collect efficiency.

Sulky Rider Seat

The Sulky seat attaches at the pivot point where the caster tail wheel is fitted. The tail wheel is removed from the unit and the machine articulates at this connection. This method of Sulky Rider is easier to steer and control the machine. (Not available for GT series).

Back Lapping Attachment

The separate nature of the cutting heads on the Locke mower makes it easily accessible for fitting the back lapping attachment for restoring a keen edge during the season.
