Pedestrian Turf Aerator 460 SDR

The 460 SDR is the top of the line in pedestrian aerators. It uses the same four arm crank mechanism as the 460HD machine and operating width of 60cm (24 inch).

This machine has `selector drive' which enables the operator with the flick of a lever to select high or low-density hole patterns. This in conjunction with the range of tine holders gives the operator a multiple choice of aeration patterns from 177 per sq. m ( 16 holes per sq. ft.) to 1600 per sq. m ( 144 holes per sq. ft.). A further selector lever disengages tine drive and engages a rapid transportation speed, propelling the machine between aeration sites at a fast walking pace.

The 460 SDR model is rear wheel drive with spring ballasted independent suspension ensuring that the rear wheels stay firmly planted on the ground even as the machine lifts and rides over obstacles during operation, the aeration pattern therefore remains uniform even on the most undulating of surfaces. Front wheel castors and power steering makes the 460 SDR extremely manoeuvrable being capable of aerating in a tight circle a little over twice the width of itself. Aeration is adjustable to a depth of up to 130mm (5inches).

The clean vertical entry and exit aeration familiar to the elliptical action of all the GROUNDSMAN aerators make them equally at home with solid, slitting or hollow tines, all of which can be fitted to the full range of holders. Operators handles are rubber mounted and this coupled with the built-in shock absorbers in the mechanism make the 460 SDR a truly smooth operator.
