CORE COLLECTION

Flexblade Core Collector

CORE AND COLLECT IN ONE PASS.

The Flexblade Core Collector is a patented implement developed by Groundsman Industries. This attachment can save many hours of manual work or an extra operation with heavy cumbersome equipment. It is clean and efficient with over 60% of the cores entering the collector without touching the ground. The remainder are scooped cleanly from the surface by a series of platelets which follow the contours acting like shovels.

Available for the Groundsman Tractor Mounting Turf Aerator models 8120CTM and 12180TM. The Rear flap of the aerator is removed and the implement is attached to the machine by two drag links and two lift chains. The cores are dumped automatically when the machine is raised. The collector has the capacity to collect a series of piles into one collective pile, eg: to the upron off the green to keep it in play. This operation will not be hindered by the core piles getting wet or driven over, the flexblade will scoop them cleanly back off the surface. Can be used on fairways and football pitches as well as fine turf.

Windrow Attachment

A windrow attachment is available for all Groundsman Pedestrian operated Turf Aerators. This attachment gathers the soil cores into a centre row for easier collection. It is attached to a slotted bracket to each side of the rear flap and secured by two spring pins. An adjustable lift chain pulls the attachment clear of the ground when the machine is raised.

SURFACE CARE

Surface Roller Attachment

The surface roller attachment is available for all the Groundsman Pedestrian turf Aerators. It is used to smooth out the surface of fine turf when needle tining or spiking is performed. This implement can help prevent scalping around the hole parameter on the follow up cutting especially if the mower is set very low. It attaches the same way as the Windrow.

Surface Iron

The surface Iron effectively performs the same task as the Surface Roller Attachment on the Pedestrian Turf Aerators. This system works in the same principal as the Flexblade Core Collector except the leading edge is turned upward like a ski whereby follow the surface contours. This system is flexible on the surface of rolling terrain making it more effective than a roller on the wider tractor mounting machines. It is used, as with the roller, to smooth out the surface when needle tining or spiking.

Turf retainers

Turf Retainers hold shallow rooted turf in place during aeration, they are available for the Groundsman Tractor Mounting Turf Aerator models 8120CTM and 12180TM. A rack spans the width of the machine attached at either end to the roller leg. The retainers consist of impact resistant plastic rails which clamp the turf surface holding it in place during aeration ie: spiking or hollow coring. These plastic sections are clamped into a holder and are available for Twin, Triple, Quad and Quint Tine Holders.

TINES, HOLDERS & CLUSTER HEADS

Groundsman manufacture the widest range of aerator accessories available and the quick fit mountings make their aerator the most versatile on the market.

A large selection of Tine Holders and Groundsman Cluster Heads are available for all the Aerator Machines. These implement will enable a year round programme of aeration to be implemented on all surfaces. Cluster Heads can be used for thatch removal or seed preparation. For comprehensive illustrations and descriptions of the tines and recommended applications click the ‘find out more’ button.

Cluster heads were developed by Groundsman Industries as a method of grouping larger numbers of tines together to achieve denser patterns without the excessive weight of a clamp style holder. This system helps minimise vibration within the aerator machine and enables densities down to one inch spacings.
